吉田松陰 Mind014 不安のない生き方
「先行きの不安」に心奪われないようにするためには、
あれこれ目移りすることなく、
自分という人間を鍛えることに集中して、
「全力を出し切りますのであとは天命におまかせします」
という心構えでいるのが良いと思います。
英訳
To avoid being preoccupied by “uncertainty about the future.”
You don’t have to look this way and that.
I need to concentrate on training myself, the person I am.
We will give it our all and leave the rest to fate.”
It is good to be prepared to do so.

今の時代、私のように病気になったとかいう特別な理由がなくても、「先行きに不安を感じない」人などいないでしょう。お金がどんどん必要になる一方で、給料は上がらないという状態は日本人共通の問題です。そんな時不安のない生き方をするとは＝「お金に困らない生活をすると言い換えられます。
吉田松陰の時代背景とは明らかに今の時代は異なります。ただ、吉田松陰の考えは「全力を尽くして、天命を待つ」ということです。
これから先の行く末は悪くなる一方なのに果たしてどれだけの人が全力を出し切っているのだろう。
私の座右の銘は。「天は自ら助くるものを助く」という言葉です。神頼みだけしてても、チャンスの神様は振り向いてくれないのでこちらから神様のところまでできるだけ近づきたいのです。
自分の夢は自分の努力と神の力がまつりあって初めて実現すると思うのです。何も努力しなければ何も起きないのです。そういう意味では、松陰の考えと私の考えは同じだと思います。

Our era is clearly different today from the historical background of Yoshida Shoin.
However, Yoshida Shoin’s idea is to “give it your all and wait for heaven’s call”.
My motto is. “Heaven helps those who help themselves.”
We want to get as close as possible to God from here because the God of opportunity will not turn around if we only ask God for help.
I believe that one’s dreams can only be realised through one’s own efforts and the power of God.
If you don’t make any effort, nothing will happen. In that sense, Shoin’s ideas and mine are the same.
